These terms govern your use of LingClip, a website that helps you practice languages from YouTube videos through transcripts, quizzes, flashcards, and playlists. By using LingClip, you agree to these terms.
LingClip fetches captions for videos you choose, then builds listening practice around them. We may change, pause, or stop features. Some parts of the product require a free account.
Do not use LingClip to:
Videos play through YouTube. Transcripts and metadata come from YouTube for the video you asked us to open. LingClip does not own those videos. Your use of YouTube content must also follow YouTube’s terms. If a video has no captions, we may not be able to run a lesson.
You keep ownership of playlists, flashcards, comments, notes, and other material you create. You grant LingClip a license to host and display that material so the product can work. Playlists are public and shareable. If you publish a flashcard deck, other people can open it.
LingClip is provided “as is.” Language practice is a study aid, not academic credit, medical advice, or a guarantee of fluency. We do not warrant that transcripts, translations, or quiz scoring will be complete or error-free.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, LingClip and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service.
You may stop using LingClip and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or if we shut down the service.
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
